• The Beaufort-Jasper County REALTORS® (BJCR) was established on August 5, 1962, originally as the Beaufort County Association of REALTORS® (BCAR). To honor our growing commitment to Beaufort and Jasper counties, we rebranded in 2019 as BJCR. As the “voice of real estate” within our jurisdiction, BJCR advocates for and supports our members while fostering trust in the local real estate market.

Full-Time Staff Committed to Your Success

• BJCR employs a full-time association executive who leads our strategic initiatives to advance the association and the broader real estate industry in South Carolina. Our dedicated team includes three full-time staff members—a Member Services Coordinator, an MLS Coordinator, and an IT Administrator—who are here to support our members’ needs every step of the way.

• BJCR offers a diverse range of educational programs designed to support professional growth. From continuing education and broker-specific courses to our highly popular Brunch & Learn sessions—hosted by the Professional Development Committee—we provide valuable insights on key industry topics. These sessions cover critical areas such as safety, social media marketing, zoning, tax assessments, contract and forms review, and professional standards training. Whether you’re looking to refine your expertise or stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market, our programming equips members with the knowledge and tools needed to succeed.

Setting New Members Up for Success

• Our New Member Orientation program is designed to welcome new REALTORS® into BJCR, helping them understand our goals, uphold professionalism, and make the most of the resources we provide. This program fosters a strong start in the industry and builds a foundation for a successful real estate career.

Building Connections and Strengthening Our Community

• BJCR brings members together with quarterly membership luncheons and special events—at no cost to members—that feature influential guest speakers, such as state legislators, county officials, and chamber representatives. Our monthly networking events offer additional opportunities to connect and collaborate, while our affiliate member program extends our reach within the community, bringing real estate professionals and local businesses together.

Expanding Market Reach with Our Wholly-Owned MLS

• BJCR is proud to offer our members access to the Lowcountry Regional Multiple Listing Service, Inc. (LRMLS), our wholly-owned MLS subsidiary. LRMLS serves over 1,100 REALTORS® and provides extensive coverage across Beaufort, Jasper, and surrounding counties. This MLS empowers our members with comprehensive listing capabilities, helping them better serve their clients and expand their market reach.
